Cellar Bar
This particularly tricky but immensely rewarding project involved creating a private ‘pub’ in the cellar of a grand old Bermuda home. Limited headroom meant that the cellar floor had to be excavated by hand and existing walls underpinned. All millwork was custom designed and included wall paneling, ‘church pew’ seating and a full bar. The end result was a warm and welcoming ‘snug’ environment with old world charm but with the creature comforts of air conditioning, and an integrated surround sound system and flat panel TV all concealed within the millwork. An added bonus was being able to break through into am adjoining space below a verandah in which we installed a climate controlled wine cellar.
